Application
The Application for the oikos Winter School is as easy as counting from 1 to 3.
Step 1: Download the Application Form (see below) and fill it out
Step 2: Add a CV and send both files to: jonathan.rueth@oikoswinterschool.org
Step 3: Write your essays (the topics are listed in the App Form) and send them to the same Email address.
As soon as we got all your necessary application details, you will receive an confirmation email. As soon as your application went through the selection process, we will will communicate the result to you.

Deadlines and Fees
The oikos Winter School team decided to implement two deadlines in order to give convincing applicants a deserved discount and more flexibility in their planning.

Although the oikos Winter School is designed for undergraduate students, who are working on or already leading concrete sustainability related projects, we are going to accept exceptions (such as project-less students).
FAQ - Application Process
I have trouble with the Application form, can I just send you my details in an email?
Yes you can! The handling of the PDF-file seems to make more trouble than we expected. Just make sure, you send all the information from the Application form in the email along with your essays.
When do I have to pay the Application fee?
Sending in the application is free! Only if we approve your application the fee is due.
What is included in the Application fee?
Accommodation in student homes (one night at a youth hostel during our overnight excursion to Wuppertal)
all breakfasts, lunches and most dinners (including a great welcome dinner)
travelling DURING the Winter School.
participation in all Winter School activities
Your travelling expenses to Witten are NOT covered by oikos.
Are scholarships available?
Yes! Our main sponsor Wala is offering one scholarship as well as three scholarships from oikos Witten/Herdecke. In total there are four scholarships available.
