Application
The application process started in the End of July 2008.
The deadline for application is October 10th 2008.
How to apply
Applicants are invited to hand in a CV and alternatively
- a description (1 page max.) of their idea for their own project to push sustainability *
or
- a statement (1 page max.) to the cartoon presented below (Link)

Every applicant will receive an acknowledgement of receipt immediately. Your application will be evaluated by a team 0f 6 people, comprising the organizing team, an oikos International representant and a scientific assistant. The feedback will follow within two weeks after application.
Certificate
All participants of the oikos Winter School 2008 will receive an official certificate by oikos International, confirming their partcipation and - if they present an action plan for their projects - their success.
Participation Fees:

sponsor´s employees | Main sponsors of the Winter School are cordially invited to have two representatives from their company participate at this event. Sponsors are cordially invited to have one representative from their company participate at this event. Accommodation is not included. |
Scholarships
Following scholarships will be granted:
- Three scholarships for the most sustainable applications amounting to 150 €/person (sponsored by oikos Witten/Herdecke) and
- Other scholarships will be published soon
Local Scholarships
Experience has shown that (in the majority of cases) qualified studends will get financial support by their home university, when they join oikos conferences. If an application is successful, we can verify our interest into the applicant directly to his contact person at a certain chair, institute or company. This is useful to support an applicant in getting local financial support (air fare, participation fee)
* A project could also be starting an oikos Chapter at your university. In this case, before the Winter School, you should already have approached other students and have designed a draft roadmap for your Chapter activities as well.
