Alumni Weekend at the oikos Winter School 2008
oikos and UW/H Alumni are invited to an Alumni Weekend in Witten at the end of the oikos Winter School (Saturday 22/Sunday 23 November 2008).
The oikos International and University Witten/Herdecke Alumni network event on Saturday 22 November 2008, the last day of oikos Winter School 2008, will bring together sustainability interested UW/H alumni and oikos alumni with the Winter School participants.
The programme includes a speech and a discussion by and with Dr. Konrad Schily, the founder of the University Witten/Herdecke, a market of ideas where the Winter School participants present their projects, a review and outlook of topics concerning the sustainability debate plus the possibility to get into contact during the event.
Registered alumni are invited for breakfast and lunch.
The event takes place in Haus Witten, Ruhrstraße 86, 58452 Witten.
Haus Witten was built above the banks of the river Ruhr as a manor in the 15th century. A five minute walk away from the main station, it is today used as a cultural centre and houses a restaurant.
Later that day you have the opportunity to celebrate the Alumni Weekend and the official end of the oikos Winter School together with all other UW/H-Members at a big farewell party in the Unikat-Club, Witten.
On Sunday 23 November we exclusively invite our alumni to a breakfast brunch in a restaurant location in Witten. Afterwards we will let you depart full of new inspiration and hope on the coming leaders in the field of sustainability.
