The oikos Winter School combined lectures, discussions and working groups. Enough room was also provided for informal get-togethers.
The oikos Winter School started with half a day of challenging team-building to create an inspiring work atmosphere.
Following team building, the first two and a half days provided participants with deeper insights into the current sustainability debate at business schools, in the corporate world and society at large. Speakers explored the challenges posed and opportunities provided by long-term economic, environmental and social developments. An intermediate workshop section provided the participants with tools to communicate these issues to their faculties.
Days four and five were devoted to the design of concrete events or projects. The participants discussed and shaped their ideas with experts in project laboratories. The debates also allowed participants to reflect on the past presentations. Excursions and a keynote speech will contribute to the creative atmosphere.
At the sixth day each participant was given a platform to present the project that he/she pledged to implement to an audience of professionals in the field of sustainability. From these, participants chose a mentor that will support the implementation of the developed project together with oikos over the following months.
