I am Robin Stevens and work at the University College Ghent. My research interest lies within the relative new field of social entrepreneurship. The question if (and how) you can be an entrepreneur towards a social goal is my overall research question. Therefore, my research endeavors focus on the process of value creation within social entrepreneurial firms. I hope to get an understanding in this process by focusing on three resource-based-view concepts: social mission – business model – social performance. Until now I explored my research field and these concepts by conducting case studies. This was in preparation of a large survey on which I am currently working. I am looking forward to meeting you all and to hear your feedback on my research ideas and pilot-survey.
I studied political sciences and obtained a master in public management.
Outside of academics, I like to play and listen to music. When the weather is fine I often go cycling. I like to read, go out with friends and travel all around the globe. I live with my girlfriend in Ghent.
