 Hi together!

I am doing my PhD on “Indicators for Sustainable Change Processes in Regions” at the University of Graz, Austria.

In 2002 I founded the oikos Graz chapter at my university and started to engage in the field of education for sustainable development as well as (transdisciplinary) change processes in regions. I graduated in 2004 in Environmental System Sciences with a special emphasis in Geography and Regional Sciences. From 2004 to 2006 I spent a year in Switzerland to work as president of oikos International as well as at the ETHsustainability Center on planning of sustainability processes at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich. Since 2006, I am research associate at the Department of Geography and Regional Science at the University of Graz.  Furthermore I am founder of the Regional Centre of Expertise – Education for Sustainable Development Graz – Styria (RCE Graz-Styria) which was acknowledged by the United Nations University in 2007.

Apart from this I am working on my PhD in the field of “Transdisciplinary Change Processes”, funded by the Austrian National Bank. Therefore, in February 2008 I spent a month in Cairo, Egypt, to conduct investigations at Sekem, a case company within my dissertation.

Beside studies I like doing sports like swimming, biking and running in summer and nordic skating and skiing in winter.
