The oikos Spring Meeting in Paris brought together oikos students from 15 oikos Local Chapters.

The participants enjoyed a diversified programme that included lectures on finance and climate change, on micro credit as well as workshops on sustainable development and a variety of internal workshops.

 

Designed as a platform for oikos members to exchange ideas on their ongoing projects, the local chapter fair enabled local chapter members to engage in intensive discussions.

The evenings were devoted to two panel discussions on financial markets and sustainability.

Laurent Viguier from LODH bank gave a presentation on carbon emission
trading as a new financial market.

Lively exchanges also arose during a panel discussion on micro credits and the role of the banking sector.

 

In preparation for the oikos Conference 2007  "Limit to Growth - Growing beyond Limits?" the Spring Meetings’ workshops introduced participants to the many networking opportunities offered by oikos as well as to facilitation skills and to the topic of economic growth and sustainability.
