oikos Autumn Meeting in Belfast announced! The team in Belfast invites you to join this global networking event run by the Local Chapter.
We plan to organize workshops, student debates and lectures on topics of “Sustainable conflict resolution – learning from the past, looking to the future. In a city that has successfully overcome decades of conflict, it is a great opportunities to provide to all members great talks from experts working in the field of sustainable development and sustainable conflict resolution.
Working together with an organisation like oikos international, committed to student capacity building and the agenda of sustainable economics and management, will help us become more oriented towards the issues that are the challenges of our time.
oikos Belfast at Queen’s University as a team believes that working together is the road to success. Each and every member of our chapter is committed to provide a good part of time and work for organising this event, so manpower is our greatest asset.
Our team is truly interdisciplinary as we have students from Geography, Management, Politics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science, Biological Science, Civil Engineering and Advisors from various Schools. Being a new chapter, organising this event will enhance our team strength and interest to work for higher goals by involving with all activities of oikos international. Moreover the conference gives our members a good platform to interact with other chapter members, meet and build professional relationships with people who work to promote sustainable development.
