oikos Spring and Autumn Meetings

Succeed today - Succeed tomorrow

Applied Corporate Social Responsibility - Let's find the oikos approach!

The Autumn Meeting 2008 in Graz, Austria, focused on the topic of applied Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). From 25 to 28 September, oikos students from all over the world came together to find the oikos approach to CSR.

In an expert panel discussion, participatory workshops and a World Café, the participants discussed and analysed the topic together with experts like Mostafa Tolba, the first director of the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP).

At the Autumn Meeting, the oikos members also exchanged their Local Chapter experiences, received training workshops and decided on legislative oikos issues.

Amongst confirmed speakers can be referred to:

  • Mostafa Tolba (UNEP Director ‘75-‘92)
  • Michael Schaller (sustainable.at, Agency for Sustainability)
  • Ferdinand Angel (University of Graz)
  • Philipp Gaggl (Price Waterhouse Coopers, Vienna)
  • Clemens Mader (Regional Center of Expertise RCE, Graz-Styria)
