Climate Change as a Business Opportunity and the Importance of Communication

The participants elaborated corporate initiatives meeting the climate change challenge with a special focus on communication aspects. During the workshop they discussed if and how climate change communication can create competitive (eco) advantage and lasting value by reducing risks, increasing revenues and creating strong brands.
After a short key note speech several case studies of companies dealing actively with the climate change challenge were presented by company representatives especially with regard to its communication aspects. The workshop participants were asked to discuss each approach by examining the possible impact on customer behavior. Topics like credibility and feasibility as well as communication design lead the discussion in this context.
