Alumni Weekend at the Winter School 2007

oikos Alumni were invited to an Alumni Weekend in Witten at the end of the oikos Winter School (Saturday 24/Sunday 25 November 2007).

 

The oikos International and University Witten/Herdecke (UW/H) Alumni network event on Saturday 24 November 2007, the last day of Winter School, brought together sustainability interested UW/H Alumni and oikos Alumni with our Winter School participants.

 

Starting at 9.00 am we had a small breakfast. Charismatic Konrad Schilly, founder of UW/H and member of German parliament, hold a keynote speech on sustainability & university.

 

Afterwards Winter School participants had formal presentations on their designed projects in front of the audience.

Alumni and other participants challenged the participants with their practice-oriented feedback on the projects.

An informal market-of-ideas-setting allowed for individual talks between the participants and alumni after the presentations.

In the evening we had dinner & drinks and a farewell party of the Winter School 2007 open to all UW/H members.

 

On Sunday 25 November 2007 Alumni were exclusively invited to a breakfast brunch in a restaurant in Witten.

Afterwards participating Alumni left full of new inspiration and hope on the coming leaders in the field of sustainability.
