oikos Foundation

The oikos Foundation for economy and ecology was founded in St. Gallen (Switzerland) in spring 1990. Its purpose is to enhance the integration of the ecological and social dimensions into the research and teaching of economics and business administration.

Within the oikos organisation, the foundation’s focus lies on financial and
institutional support.

The oikos Foundation is conducted by the foundation council and supported  by leading Swiss companies. It is closely associated to the Institute for Economy and Ecology at the University of St. Gallen.
