oikos Spring Meeting 2008
"Manufacturing the Future - Prospects on Sustainable Production and Consumption"
Twice a year, oikos International is organising international meetings, bringing together the oikos network from all over the world. During the Spring and Autumn Meetings oikos members exchange their experience, discuss projects and help each other strengthening the network.
oikos members learn about other projects and present different ideas on the integration of sustainability at their universities. Workshops on project management, local chapter strategy, succession planning, fundraising etc. empower participants for their oikos activities. Students interested in sustainablity and motivated to found a new oikos chapter are fully integrated and get to know the network and its activities. The Spring and Autumn Meetings include a number of public lectures in which experts with academic or business background share their knowledge and experience on sustainable business models.
The Spring Meeting 2008 in Cologne will focus on the topic of Sustainable Production and Consumption. In addition to the usual programme of the Spring Meetings, this year participants will realize a Case Study Competition about a BASF business case on bio-plastics.
