Research on Collaborative Entrepreneurship and Innovation for a fundamental paradigm change towards sustainability is a promising and challenging academic field. It calls for a multitude of methods, combination of disciplines and new research designs.

The third oikos Young Scholars Entrepreneurship Academy provides a unique platform to develop emerging researchers. Exceptional graduate students and young faculty are at the center of the programme and they will have exposure to leading academics who provide feedback on their work and share advice about academic careers and personal development. The event includes paper development workshops, professional development roundtables, guest speeches and outdoor activities in the picturesque  Swiss Alps.

In 2012 we aim at attracting papers fostering developments with regard to how entrepreneurial organizations can leverage existing and new solutions to overcome key sustainability challenges. Feedback will be given by fellow students and three internationally well-reputed researchers:

  • Jill R. Kickul, Director, Stewart Satter Program in Social Entrepreneurship, Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, NYU Stern School of Business
  • Dimo Dimov, Professor of Entrepreneurship, Newcastle University Business School
  • Wesley Sine, Faculty Director, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute, Cornell University, USA

Programme

The event aims to advance academic research, build networks across disciplinary boundaries and to prepare the ground for research that is highly relevant for theory and practice. To stimulate impact oriented mutual learning we aim to attract both advanced researchers and promising young PhD students presenting empirical and conceptual works in progress.
Participants will have the opportunity to apply their insights and skills in a practitioner day in cooperation with The Hub.
