The annual oikos PhD Summer Academy provided PhD students in the field of management and sustainability a platform to present and discuss their ongoing research projects with fellow students and senior faculty. The 10th oikos PhD Summer Academy 2009 focused on the role of Business Models in achieving environmental, social and economic sustainability. The topic 2009 - Sustainability-driven Business Models - attracted papers fostering new ideas and solutions with regard to how businesses (and other stakeholders) can contribute to overcoming key sustainability challenges. Feedback was given by fellow students and three internationally well-reputed researchers:
- Prof. Dr. Oana Branzei, Richard Ivey School of Business (Canada)
- Prof. Dr. Jeffery S. McMullen, Kelley School of Business, Indiana University (USA)
- Prof. Dr. Christian Seelos, IESE Business School (Spain)
The programme encompassed graduate student presentations, guest lectures (Prof. Dr. Rolf Wüstenhagen, University of St. Gallen), professional development roundtables and social events.
