The annual oikos Case Writing Competition aims to promote the development of new high quality case studies in the field of sustainability management, strategy and social entrepreneurship.
The oikos Foundation for Economy and Ecology at the University of St. Gallen established the Global Case Writing Competition in 2003 to create a body of knowledge about sustainable management practices that could be used by university professors at business schools around the world.
Currently the competition has two tracks:
An international panel of leading faculty reviews the cases in a double-blind review process and gives written feedback to each case contributor. For each of these tracks the judging committee selects three winners and two runners-up. The first prize is CHF 5000, second prize is CHF 2000 and third prize is CHF 1000.
Inspection copies of all winning cases, as well as runners-up, are included in the oikos Online Case Collection. The collection currently consists of over 30 excellent peer-reviewed cases on corporate sustainability and social entrepreneurship.

We are also pleased to announce the publication of the second volume of the oikos Case Collection: Case Studies in Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainability (to be published in May 2011 by Greenleaf Publishing). Download the book announcement.
Additionally you can read more information on the first volume of the oikos Case Collection: Case Studies in Sustainability Management and Strategy (published in 2007 by Greenleaf Publishing).
We thank Ashoka , caseplace.org, ecch and Humanet for partnering this project.
