Dawid Wroblewski - President 2012

Dawid Wroblewski holds Bachelor diploma from Warsaw School of Economics where he studied Economics and specialized in Microeconomic Analysis. To fulfil duties of oikos International President, Dawid is currently taking a gap year from his Master studies of Law&Economics at the same university. Since 2008 he has been an active member of oikos Warsaw and has been involved in many projects organized by the Chapter, among others the oikos Autumn Meeting 2010. During academic year of 2010/2011 Dawid was serving as the President of oikos Warsaw. His particular sustainability interests evolve around issues concerning transportation and impactful implementations of cleantech solutions. Dawid is a keen traveller and counts hiking among his  favourite free time activities.

Christian Bärtsch

Christian Bärtsch studies Economics at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He became an active member of oikos St. Gallen in 2010, where he co-lead a team, takling carbon emissions at the University of St. Gallen. His interest in sustainability is closely linked with his passion for entrepreneurship. He helped to start up the start-up company UrbanFarmers. UrbanFarmers provide farming solutions for urban areas. Now he works for Impact Economy (Link) in Lausanne at their sustainability Strategy team. In his freetime he likes to hike, to run and to cook delicious meals.

Christian is responsible for oikos Chapters in Bayreuth, Constance, St. Gallen, Tübingen and Graz.

Within the EB he's looking into partnerships and currently developing a job plattform which provides job postings in the area of sustainbility. Within the oikos Network he tries to encourage the formation and projects together with green ventures.

Eike Haas

Eike Haas studies Business Economics and Management at Witten/Herdecke University, Germany, and also joined the MBA exchange program of IPADE, Mexico. He became a member of oikos in 2008, and was elected as president of oikos Witten/Herdecke in 2009. After two years, Eike decided to join the oikos International Executive Board. He was designated board member in 2011, and was re-elected for the following term. Besides regular tasks, Eike contributed to several projects, such as the oikos FutureLab, the oikos Bachelor Thesis Award, and the oikos Climate Curricula Challenge. Prior to studying in Witten, Eike worked for PlaNet Finance, a leading Microfinance Group, at their offices in France and in India. He also gained work experience within the field of carbon emissions when issuing three Product Carbon Footprints for the leading industrial bakery in Germany. Eike’s hobbies are acting, playing piano, and soccer.

Eike is responsible for the oikos Chapters in Brussels, Cologne, Maastricht, Paris, Reims and Witten.

Harriet Jackson

Harriet Jackson studied Government and Economics at the London School of Economics, and specialised in Environmental Economics and the Economics of the European Union. She joins the student board after leading oikos International as the president in 2011, and being part of oikos London from 2007-2010.  Harriet now works in sustainability strategy at Impact Economy in Lausanne, Switzerland. When not attempting to save the world through business, she enjoys playing piano and cycling.

Harriet is responsible for oikos Chapters in Ashland, Barcelona, Belfast, London and St. Andrews.

Katatarzyna Negacz

Kate Negacz has studied International Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics and Law at  the University of Warsaw, Poland. At present, she takes part in an exchange program at NCCU, Taipei in Taiwan.  As a person strongly involved in the social aspects of sustainability, she became a member of oikos Warsaw 5 years ago. Her interests in sustainable competitiveness indexes and environmental risk management are closely connected with the sustainable development. She was an organiser and a participant of many oikos programs. She was the oikos president in 2009. 

Kate together with Pranav is responsible for oikos Chapters in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Dhaka, Kolkata and New Delhi.

Nora Locskai

Nora Locskai is an MA student in International Economics and Business at Corvinus University of Budapest and an International Relations graduate. She is currently living in Stockholm doing an internship in brand management. As her major interest is social sustainability, she is preparing her MA thesis on sustainable business models. She co-founded oikos Budapest at her university in November 2010 and was also the president of the chapter in 2010/11. Nora´s hobbies include cooking and cinema.

Nora is responsible for oikos Chapters in Budapest, Bratislava, Opole, Prague, Tbilisi, Warsaw and Zagreb.

Pranav Gajjar

Pranav Gajjar is studying Architecture at Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology, Ahmedabad, INDIA. As an architecture student his interest in sustainability focuses on the built environment. However he is also keen on exploring the potential of recycling and reusing as a tool to bring about change. He has explored this inclination by recycling paper on campus and will try to upscale the initiative. Besides, his other interests are swimming, drawing and photography.

Pranav together with Kate is responsible for oikos Chapters in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Dhaka, Kolkata and New Delhi.

Salik Shadab

Salik is an Associate Private Banker with a global wealth management firm based out of Mumbai, India. He holds a Master of Business Administration, with a focus on Economics & Strategic Management, from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. Prior to this, he completed his Bachelor of Management Studies from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai where he specialised in Corporate Finance & Econometrics. During his studies, he developed a keen interest in Business Sustainability, Emissions Trading & Environmental Economics. He has authored several papers on environmental issues plaguing India as well as on business opportunities addressing sustainability concerns.
Salik has been with oikos for more than 2 years. He was the President of oikos Kolkata, involved in multiple projects aimed at energy reduction, waste management, environment conservation & integration of sustainability in management curriculum.

Salik is responsible for oikos Chapters in Clausthal, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Paderborn, Moscow and Monrovia.

Management oikos Foundation

Jost Hamschmidt - Academic Director

Jost Hamschmidt is a lecturer within the CEMS Programme at  the University of St. Gallen and Academic Director of the oikos Foundation. He received a master in Business Administration from the University of Kassel (Germany), a BA in Technology Management from the University of St. Etienne (France) and holds a PhD in Management from the University of St. Gallen. His areas of interest include NGO-management, sustainability, entrepreneurship, innovation and strategy. At oikos he is responsible for international projects in the field of PhD and Faculty Development. He was a post-doc visiting fellow at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley (2001/2002) and Harvard Business School (2007/2008).  Jost lives in Zurich. He is married to Monika Kurath and a father of three children.

Eissa Khoury - Managing Director

Eissa Khoury is the Managing Director of the oikos Foundation. Prior to joining oikos, he was a Partner in Brand Strategy at Lippincott, a boutique consultancy based in New York that is part of the Oliver Wyman Group; and prior to Lippincott, he was Client Director of Strategy at Landor Associates. His work was focused on brand strategy development and internal organisational alignment. Based in Dubai, he worked with some of the largest and most influential organisations across the Middle East, and some parts of Europe and the Far East, including Emaar, Batelco, Nakheel, SABIC, Supreme Commission for Tourism in Saudi Arabia, the government of the Sultanate of Oman, the government of the Kingdom of Jordan and the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority.
Eissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Virginia Tech in the US, and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. He is Palestinian with Irish citizenship, born in Kuwait and has also lived in the US, Cyprus, Dubai and now Switzerland. He speaks fluent English and Arabic, and intermediate German.

Nicole Wild - Assistant

Nicole Wild is the oikos Assistant. She studied Politics, Media and Communication Science at the University of Zurich.  As our Assistant she is in charge of all kinds of administrative issues.
