Lenka Parkanova - President 2013 & 2014

Lenka finishes her second Masters in Environmental Economics and Management at University of Economics in Prague where she used to serve as oikos Prague Chapter President. She has a working experience as a project coordinator at the Charles University Environment Centre. In this job, Lenka worked on a cross-sectoral European project focused on strengthening contacts between universities, research institutions, businesses and NGOs working on environmental issues. She got her first Masters degree in Environmental Studies at Masaryk University in Brno. Among others, she worked in an eco-counselling centre Veronica and later took part in a fair trade campaign dealing with poor working conditions in garment industry. Lenka enjoyed organizing oikos events like Spring Meeting 2011, Green Architecture and Urbanism session or debates with social entrepreneurs. On the other hand, she feels quite happy when doing gardening or disappearing somewhere in the mountains far away from civilization. She aims to be well oriented not only in the mainstream environmental economics and policy, but also in alternative economical approaches and promote fruitful discussions between these fields.

Kavya Agrawal

Kavya is a graduate from National Institute of Design, India and has specialized in Communication Design. She is currently spearheading a start up by the name of Kaagazi founded by her in 2010. As a budding entrepreneur, Kavya’s interest in sustainability revolves around responsible business practices and innovative product development. Her efforts are widely recognized and talked about by the design community in India. Besides, Kavya likes to spend her freetime reading, interacting, swimming and traveling.

Christian Bärtsch

Christian Bärtsch studies Economics at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He became an active member of oikos St. Gallen in 2010, where he co-lead a team, takling carbon emissions at the University of St. Gallen. His interest in sustainability is closely linked with his passion for entrepreneurship. He helped to start up the start-up company UrbanFarmers. In his freetime he likes to hike, to run and to cook delicious meals.

Arush Chandna

Arush Chandna is in his final year of an undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering at the Vellore Institute of Technology in India. He first got associated with oikos as he presented his idea for an equity-based social education venture at the oikos Winter School 2011 in Berlin, Germany. He then attended the oikos Asia Meet 2012 in Ahmedabad, India. Subsequently, he established and is currently leading oikos Vellore. Additionally, in the past, he has worked with Airbus on conceptualizing a techno-business model that aimed at generating green electricity from aircraft drag winds. He has also been associated with StudentEvents, a startup company based in the Netherlands promoting conference, seminars and competitions amongst students around the world as their Global Head Ambassador.

Jacek Galiszewski

Jacek Galiszewski student of Warsaw School of Economics in Economics and Warsaw University in Law. In oikos since 2008.  Administrator of oikos International webpage. President of oikos Warsaw in 2012 and vicepresident of Students‘ Scientific Associaton of International Finance in Warsaw School of Economics 2010-2012. Prize-winner in Schools' Economics Competition, Minister of National Education and Prime Minister of Polend (twice) scholarship-holder. Speaks fluently English, good German, learn Russian. Intrested in sustainable development and geography.

Nora Locskai

Nora Locskai joined the Executive Board in December 2011 and as a person who loves to travel and meet inspiring people, she enjoyed connecting the Eastern European chapters and assessing the oikos network a lot! Enthused by international projects, she has worked and studied in France, Belgium and Sweden in the past years. This school year she is working towards her Master degree in International Economy in Hungary. Nora also has on her account journalistic adventures in Beijing and Berlin with the oikos student reporters.

Kate Negacz

Kate Negacz got involved in sustainability projects more than five years ago and has never stopped since. Her interests include sustainable competitiveness and climate risk management. In 2009 Kate was the president of oikos International. Later she continued her engagement as an Executive Board member and website support for oikos. During her studies, Kate spent some time in Taiwan and Switzerland. Currently, she studies and works in Warsaw and is always happy to support oikos in every part of the world.

Levan Pangani

Levan Pangani is an undergraduate student at Tbilisi State University. He is glad and proud to be the one who had a chance to found oikos Tbilisi and organize a lot of remarkable projects through it. As a President of oikos Tbilisi, he was very pleased to have the opportunity of making his own contribution in promoting sustainability across Georgia and Caucasus Region. His area of interest is sustainable development of economics, as well as in-depth research of other fields connected to it. Therefore, based on his experience he has a strong desire and commitment, as an oikos EB member, to make his own contribution towards making positive changes for a better future.

Management oikos Foundation

Adriana Maia Troxler – Program Manager

Adriana Troxler is the Program Manager of oikos. She brings eight years of professional experience in five continents in both private (PwC, Euler Hermes, Interaction Times) and non-profit sector organizations (The Global Fund, AIESEC, and several Associations). She has implemented several international and national start-ups assignments and has a solid background in entrepreneurship, project design and implementation and multi-stakeholder partnership building. In addition, at AIESEC, an international youth-driven organization, she started up AIESEC in Qatar and one Local Committee in Brazil.  Her main tasks were related to student development and external relations.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from FAAP in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and an International Organization MBA from University of Geneva, which strongly emphasized CSR, PPP, resource mobilization, and performance enhancement of international organizations.
