oikos is looking for motivated oikos members who want to get involved in the oikos International (oI) Executive Board (EB) in 2009. You will work together with Katarzyna Negacz, oikos International President 2009.

 

As a member of the EB you share the task of administering oikos International. The EB has full power of management and administration, subject to the prerogatives of the Legislative Meeting which is constituted by representatives of the oikos Local Chapters.

 

You should meet the following criteria

 

• identification with the oikos Vision, Mission and Activity statement
• knowledge of the oikos organisational setup
• fluency in English/other languages desirable
• intrinsic motivation together with strong interest in sustainable development
• accurately and timely gather, analyse and disseminate information
• readiness to attend virtual EB-Meetings once/month and prepare a status report
• readiness to participate in personal strategy meetings (ca. 4 times per year), oikos bi-annual meetings and international oikos events
• represent oikos externally, seek new students and board members and funding
• ability to work effectively, support Executive Board, and to work self-responsible
• be accountable to the Executive Board and Local Chapter Presidents

Within the financial possibilities of oikos International, travel costs are reimbursed.
